Hentons makes four new appointments

Eve Russell and Georgina Mackley are joining as assistant accountants, Olivia Miller as senior accountant and Philippa Davison as admin associate

Hentons has recently announced the additions of four new members to its team across the York and Thirsk offices.  

Eve Russell joins the firm’s York office as an assistant accountant. She will be focusing on accounts preparation, bookkeeping, and VAT services. 

She transitions to us from a smaller firm and wants to take on new challenges and further her career.

Regarding her appointment, Russell said: “I am happy in my role as it motivates me every day. I will have the support to further my studies and continue the road towards my chartered exams, pushing myself to be the best I can be.” 

Charlotte Adamson, Russell’s manager, added: “Eve’s enthusiasm and commitment to her professional growth are inspiring. We’re excited to support her journey and see the positive impact she will have on our team and clients.” 

Georgina Mackley is joining the Thirsk office as an assistant accountant. With a focus on bookkeeping and end-of-year accounts, she wants to expand her knowledge and gain more experience in practice accounting. 

She said: “I am returning from maternity leave and have not been in practice before, so I am looking forward to seeing where this leads. I am part-qualified and excited to see what exams I can take in the coming years to become fully qualified.”

Adamson added: “Georgina brings a unique perspective and a strong drive to learn and grow. Her determination will undoubtedly contribute to our Thirsk office’s success.” 

Meanwhile, Olivia Miller is joining the York office as a senior accountant. She will oversee accounts preparation and be an integral part of our accounts team. 

She said: “My role is more challenging but in a good way because I can push myself and progress my career. Next year I should finish my ACCA qualification, and I am looking forward to that.”

Jamie Middleton, Miller’s manager, said: “Olivia’s proactive approach and dedication to her professional development are commendable. We’re excited to have her on board and to see her thrive in her new role.” 

Lastly, Philippa Davison is joining the Thirsk office as an admin associate. She will support the office’s administrative functions and assist in various client-related activities. 

Regarding her appointment, she said: “I am thrilled to join Hentons and look forward to contributing to the team. This role offers a great opportunity to apply my skills and grow within the company.”
